The prices start from just over 37,360 euros, according to the official configurator.

Announced about four weeks ago, in the first days of the previous month, the new 2 Series Coupe aroused a huge wave of criticism. Especially because of the menu characteristic of the exterior department, among the people who criticized the design of the body of the cheapest rear-wheel drive car from BMW is Frank Stephenson, the man who designed the first X5.

The discrepancy between headlights and taillights, but also the hood too long for the engines made available to customers is among the weaknesses of the range available for sale on the Romanian market.

Offered at prices starting at 37,366 euros, the new 2 Series Coupe welcomes its customers in only three different engine versions. In the basic 220i configuration, the cheapest rear-wheel drive car from BMW relies on a two-liter turbo gasoline and 184 horsepower, in four cylinders, capable of solving the sprint problem from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in approx. 7.5 seconds.

The only diesel option, the 220d variant, in turn, enjoys a two-liter, four-cylinder turbo engine with 190 horsepower and 48-volt, 11-horsepower micro-hybrid technology, as standard.

The new BMW 2 Series Coupe has also prepared an M240i xDrive menu, seasoned with a three-liter turbo petrol and 374 horsepower, six-cylinder. It is joined, if necessary, by an all-wheel drive system, the car thus needing 4.3 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour, according to the data sheet with technical specifications.
