Mercedes has announced the start of sales for the EQS electric model on the German market. Prices start at about 106,000 euros for the EQS 450+ version, with a single electric motor on the rear axle that develops 333 hp and 568 Nm.
After a long series of teaser images, the Mercedes EQS was unveiled in April, with a range of 770 kilometers.
A month later, the electric equivalent of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class went into production in Germany. Thus, EQS joins on the assembly lines in Sindelfigen models such as the S-Class with increased wheelbase or Mercedes-Maybach S-Class.
Now, Mercedes announces the start of EQS sales on the German market. Prices start at 106,000 euros for the EQS 450+ version. It has a single motor, responsible for moving only the rear axle. It develops 330 horsepower and 550 Nm of torque.
With these resources, the luxury sedan sprints from 0 to 100 km / h in just 6.2 seconds. The top speed is limited to 210 km / h, a feature also valid for the more powerful version of the range. The consumption of the entry-level version is 20.4 kWh.
The EQS 580 4Matic version has two engines, one on the front axle and one on the rear axle, which go hand in hand to deliver a total power of 516 horsepower. With such a wealth of resources, the electric limousine sprints up to 100 km / h in just 4.1 seconds. In the future, these values will be overshadowed by an AMG version, which will deliver 715 horsepower.
For this version, prices on the German market start at 135,000 euros.
Customers who want the huge MBUX Hyperscreen screen (standard on EQS 580 4Matic) must take out of their pocket over 8500 euros.
